The Amazon Nissan Box is the Biggest Paper Carton You've Ever Seen
Amelia Roblin — January 9, 2014 — Autos
If you caught sight of one of these massive Amazon Nissan boxes on the bed of a tractor-trailer, you might have been eager to learn of its contents. Great things certainly come in small packages, but how could the shipment within this crate be anything but substantial?
As part of a publicity stunt thought up by TBWA, an Amazon.com and Nissan collaboration put three Versas into these shipping container sized cases and sent them as home deliveries to buyers. Their road journeys undoubtedly attracted a significant attention, causing witnesses to tweet the passing transport trucks.
But the Amazon Nissan boxes couldn't be real cardboard boxes, could they? Indeed, the enormous cartons were constructed of corrugated paper and simply reinforced where more layers were required.
