One of the most aesthetically pleasing ways to create an object that emulates a natural form is to make it out of a material that's quite unexpected. The Amanita Lamp might have been manufactured from components that are soft to the touch and perhaps with a similar color or finish to a mushroom, but the beauty of these lovely illuminators is that they become unique objects in their own right.
Damm Design's luxurious little table lamps come in 8-inch and 13-inch models with hand-turned solid ash wood stands and metal tops. Brass and copper plates were hand-spun and hammered into rounded conical forms with a subtly dimpled surfaces that shine with gold and rosy glows. The Amanita Lamp is highly reflective with 4-Watt LED cylinder bulbs installed inside of it.
