Designer Maxwell Mustardo creates the unique alien vases which are loosely similar to the look of ancient Roman vases and jugs but are made with bright hues and a moss-like surface. This gives the vessels a look that appears out of this world.
This notion is joined further by the slightly distorted structures that appear almost organic with PVC-coated materials that bridge the past and present. Amphorae were important tools that were used in ancient times to carry oil, wine, or storage. It was used also as a unit of measurement and the vessels were painted to indicate what it held as well. Now, the Anthropophorae is born by blending together stoneware clat with contemporary production techniques.
