Amazon is reworking its Alex app with more first-party features, as well as more of an emphasis on personalization. The new features were made possible through new developer tools, which were announced by the e-commerce giant recently.
The new personalization features can be accessed at the user's home screen, and users will now be able to see more instructions related to digital assistant capabilities. The third-party skill suggestions have been moved off the main screen, which was done in order to encourage users to pay attention to how they are using the smart assistant.
Users will have the ability to access smart assistant features on the Alexa app by selecting the Alexa button, or by saying "Alexa."
