Volkswagen is set to elevate the in-car entertainment landscape by integrating the AirConsole video game platform into its vehicles starting in September. AirConsole allows passengers to enjoy a wide range of video games directly from the vehicle’s multimedia screen, transforming the in-car experience into an interactive gaming hub.
This new feature will initially be available in Europe across several models, including the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, and ID.7 electric vehicles (EVs) and the Golf, Passat, and Tiguan. However, for safety purposes, AirConsole gameplay is restricted to when the vehicle is stationary, ensuring that drivers can only engage with the feature when parked or during breaks in a journey.
