To help Canadians celebrate Canada's 150th, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is offering the Canada 150 Afternoon Tea experience, which takes inspiration from train journeys across the country from coast to coast.
The menu includes a variety of Canadian treats, such as scones served with a Saskatoon berry compote and Montreal Smoked Meat, as well as goods baked in-house as well as bite-sized tea sandwiches. To accommodate as wide a range of guests as possible, the Fairmont notes that a number of modifications may be made to the menu to better suit vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and child guests.
The patriotic tea tastings are being held three times daily in a private dining room from now until early September.
