Studio Lancelot's Active Classroom furniture collection introduces four stools for use in primary school settings, each of which is designed to support a minimum of four different sitting positions. Unlike most classroom chairs that only permit kids to face forward with their feet planted on the ground, these furniture designs permit more freedom and flexibility.
These stools help to support multiple postures and muscular diversity, as well as increased concentration levels. As Studio Lancelot founder Boris Lancelot describes, "Study after study shows that more time spent sitting in conventional chairs can cause serious health risks. The deep habituation in chair sitting served as an inspiration to design healthy alternatives for sitting, starting with the youth."
