The Acqva Friska cocktail was recently named the UK winner of the Flor de Caña Sustainable Cocktail Challenge, an initiative that saw bartenders compete to create a winning eco-friendly cocktail.
This creation by London-based mixologist Guiseppe Lombardi was inspired by the Old Cuban and it creatively repurposes excess mint and flat champagne. The waste-reducing cocktail spotlights Flor de Caña rum—the world’s only carbon-neutral and Fair Trade-certified spirit—alongside purposefully selected ingredients and it's served in a handmade vessel. Now, Lombardi will be advancing to Flor de Caña’s Sustainable Cocktail Challenge in Nicaragua in 2024, where one bartender will be crowned the World’s Most Sustainable Bartender.
For a limited time, the Acqva Friska cocktail will be available for guests to enjoy at Bar Antoine at the Four Seasons Hotel on Park Lane.
