Melbourne-based creative firm Articolo Studios is led by Australian designer Nicci Kavals and it recently presented the Accents of Oxblood installation. This marks the first time that the studio is branching into color including the launch of Rolo, which is a capsule of lighting designs. The 12 pieces are made up of wall sconces, lamps, and pendants. The design is inspired by the 80s, specifically Milanese design with a blend of haute couture.
Kaval explains, “I have always wanted to do color but wasn’t excited because I thought it would take away from the sophistication of the natural materials. However, given its breadth and variation across models, the rich burgundy is very impressive and I’m thrilled with the result.”
