Food Beast contributor Becky McKay came up with a truffle recipe that veers far from the norm when it comes to concocting the usually chocolatey treat. Upon coming across a Cheetos bag is her pantry, the clever cook decided she wanted to infuse them into a recipe. Armed with the cheese balls in one hand, she decided to go on a mission to find out which flavors in her pantry would go best with them.
After digging into jar after jar, she found a spread that spoke to her: Cookie Butter. Surprisingly, Trader Joe's Cookie Butter tastes delicious with the Cheetos, so she decided to try and emulate the pairing in the form of a truffle
By processing Cheetos, heavy whipping cream and white chocolate bark, she successfully emulated the flavor pairing and created a delicious batch of truffles.
