Specialized Space Infrastructure Programs

Blacknight Space Has Launched Blacknight Space Labs

Blacknight Space launched Blacknight Space Labs, a Phoenix-based accelerator focused on early-stage companies building space infrastructure, logistics and orbital services, offering investments of up to $100,000 alongside a 12-week hybrid program. The accelerator is targeting startups working in satellite infrastructure, space data analytics, in-orbit servicing, orbital logistics and cislunar systems, with its first cohort scheduled to begin in September and conclude with a December demo day.

The program combines funding with technical resources, including access to Blacknight Space’s AI-driven mission simulation software and mentorship from aerospace operators, founders and government contracting specialists. Organizers said the hybrid structure is designed to leverage Arizona’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem and university talent pipeline.

For founders and commercial space companies, the accelerator aims to reduce development risk and accelerate commercialization by pairing capital with mission-planning tools and procurement expertise, reflecting growing industry focus on sustaining long-term activity in orbit beyond launch services.
