In what has become a tradition for the athletic retailer, Nike has released details about its 2016 Black History Month collection. In honoring black athletes and historical figures, this year's products will be revealed in staggered launches featuring over 28 new styles.
The releases will vary from Nike's tennis, basketball, football, running, Nike iD and Jordan Brand lines, and will feature a vivid pan-American color palette, unified by a distinct geometric theme. The marquee sneaker releases include the LEBRON 13, KD8, KYRIE 2 and the KOBE 11, collections from Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant.
Some of the proceeds from the 2016 Black History Month collection will go to benefit Nike’s 'Ever Higher Fund,' a program that helps to bring mentorship and sports to African American youth.
