Apartment Rue de Lille is a renovated 19th century apartment that is being renovated by Berlin-based practice Spamroom. The residence is being refreshed for its new occupants, a fashion designer and art collector. The efforts to renovate the residence, which measures 100 square meters, focused on creating a calm series of spaces with a refined layout.
The 19th century apartment has been designed to accommodate social events, with a vestibule at the center of the plan helping to buffer the private and public sections of the residence.
The existing interior partitions of the apartment were removed, with smaller spaes being combined to create more open areas. This way, each room receives a courtyard window offering ample daylight and ventilation.
The transformation of the apartment results in well-lit and well-ventilated open spaces suitable for relaxation and hosting.
