From Magnet-Infused Bedding to Branded App-Paired Blankets

Blankets are no longer just associated with comfort, sleep and warmth, as many weighted blankets on the market are touted as tools for helping to alleviate anxiety. These hefty blankets for whole-body stress relief have been traditionally used in sensory integration therapy to support patients with autism but their therapeutic, wellness-boosting properties are now appealing to many adults.
While some weighted blankets are filled with pellets, stainless steel microbeads, ceramic magnets or glass beads, they are all suited to helping with everything from insomnia and anxiety to stress to restless leg syndrome. While most designs are meant to cover the body in bed, brands like Bearaby make weighted blankets specifically for napping. Some of the other products of note include styles that are eco-friendly or meant to be paired with meditation apps.
