From Paint-Splattered Photography to Smoking Portraits
Shelby Lee Walsh — July 5, 2010 — Art & Design
The examples of up-close portraiture shown here range from shocking smoking children shoots to fierce makeup models and even to bizarre facial hair tentacle shoots.
Whatever the subject, portraits -- especially when up-close -- reveal a lot about a person and their past. If eyes are the window to the soul, cameras have the potential to at least be keyholes to the soul judging by these photographs
Implications - From doubled-up photography to personality-centric portraits, photography has grown to incorporate imagination as well as quality. By doing unique shoots, photographers inspire others with their pieces as well as offer a thought-provoking concept for others to consider when shooting models or subjects rather up-close and personal.
