From Lavish Lattice Train Stations to Shipping Container Terminals
Jamie Danielle Munro — April 8, 2014 — Art & Design
From terminals with a completely latticed roof to train stations made with discarded shipping containers, these designs demonstrate that modern transit design is anything but ordinary.
Some of the most distinctive architectural designs have been done for train stations. Arthur Kupreychuk is a designer who came up with a cloud-like look for a train station in the Ukraine. From above, it looks like a massive storm is brewing over a set of tracks, but this is actually just the domed roof of the structure. Considering how much time people can spend in these stations, waiting for their next train to come, it's great to know that individuals are doing their best to make this stay that much more enjoyable.
