From Wheelbarrow Recliners to Fast Food Furniture
Wes Walcott — November 11, 2012 — Art & Design
If you've got a humorous or distinctive personality and you want the furniture in your home to reflect that, these silly seats could be just the thing you're looking for.
When you walk into the average persons living space, you're likely to find average seating; couches, armchairs, loveseats, four legged stools, and maybe, just maybe, you might see the odd bean bag chair stuffed in a corner. The dictionary broadly describes a seat as merely something designed to support a person in a sitting position, which leaves the door wide open for some insanely obscure and hilariously unique designs.
Who wouldn't want to come home after a hard day of work and plop right down on a nice cushy hamburger? Or, better yet, a baked potato topped with butter? If food isn't your thing, how about a chair that's been fashioned out of an old tree stump? Or recycled balloons?
Once you've looked beyond the common everyday seating, you'll be surprised to see just how fun furniture can be.
