From Repurposed Eco-Homes to Scrap-Constructed Residences
Jamie Danielle Munro — April 3, 2014 — Art & Design
From eco-friendly housing options to designs that are earthquake-friendly, these shipping container abodes demonstrate that people are happy to go out of their comfort zone and try something new. This type of architecture is catching on, with people realizing that just because something is made from scrap metal, doesn't mean it can't be luxurious.
This form of building is very eco-friendly, since the metal is not going to waste and instead being used on something extremely useful. Some of these designs are chic to say the least, and it's tough to believe the final product was formed from something so simple. One design in Australia still has graffiti on the side to add some spice to the exterior, and even the inside of the house which features even more of this type of artwork.
