From Climbing Rope USB Cables to Chunky Rope Accessories

These rope-inspired products keep in mind both form and functionality. The rope is symbolic of strength and security and many designs represent this by incorporating or recreating the twisty cord.
Some designs simply appreciate the appearance of ropes. An example is the Coil Rope Bowl by Harry Allen, which resembles a coil of rustic rope on the outside, but is actually made of resin and marble.
The Eastern Collective Cable actually uses rope-like material to replace the traditional rubber-coated wire on USB cables. The USB's head, which is compatible with many Apple products, is attached to something along the lines of a climbing rope instead of the classic white cable. This is a visually intriguing piece that stands out among Apple users.
