From Illuminated Eco Exhibits to Surreal Glowing Foliage
Meghan Young — May 26, 2012 — Art & Design
While nature is magical enough on its own, a breathtaking beauty can be found in manmade art projects such as these outdoor light installations. Humankind has forever been trying to best Mother Nature, but these creations are far from competitive. Instead, they embrace their natural surroundings and even enhance them in ways that are stunningly symbiotic and entirely captivating.
Whether it involves surreal glowing foliage such as Bruce Munro's Forest of Light or illuminated and suspended garbage bags as found in one of Luzinterruptus' art projects, these outdoor light installations play with their environment either for aesthetics only or to comment on human's relationship with nature in one form or another. Whichever it may be, people cannot help but appreciate them.
