These hidden weapons conceal themselves in plain sight, masquerading as regular household objects. Hopefully if you visit someone with these items laying around you are not met with a challenge, or you can hold your own should the need arise. Hidden weapons are deceptive and handy for occasions for when you might need to defend yourself.
There's no need for violence when you're grilling up a steak on the barbecue, but it sure is fun to pretend to be as swift and skilled as a ninja while doing so. Meat doesn't make much of an opponent, but something like rain is more of a worthy adversary. Although it can become quite torrential, one way to show the rain you're serious about combating it is to wield an umbrella with a samurai or lightsaber handle.
