From Flapper Fashion to Stoic 20s Shoots

The 'Great Gatsby' is widely held to be F. Scott Fitzgerald's greatest work and for good reason. Although perhaps not as ambitious as 'Tender is the Night' or 'The Last Tycoon,' the Great Gatsby is nonetheless a masterpiece woven from a perfectly paced plot, completely imperfect human characters, and some of the most poetic prose ever put to a page.
The mystery and tragedy of Jay Gatsby set in sharp relief against the splendor and hypocrisy of high society in the Jazz Age makes for a gripping and provocative read even until this day, almost a century later. It's no wonder that fashion designers, photographers and artists are so enamored by the novel and the era it takes place in. Simply put, it's the bee's knees, old sport.
