From Hamburger-Like Clogs to Beer-Inspired Sneakers

These food-inspired shoes take foodie culture to a whole new level.
These designs range from the merely food-inspired to the completely food-based. For example, New Balance recently released a range of beverage-inspired sneakers. One set of New Balance colorways celebrated local ale making in the UK, while another used the packaging of Budweiser and Pabst Blue Ribbon beers as inspiration. Nike has several food-inspired colorways, including a rich brown chocolate hue and a blue, green and white Sprite pattern. At the other extreme of the food-inspired shoe spectrum, artist Nilly Mozer designed and produced a pair of flip-flops made of individual chickpeas.
Footwear and food enthusiasts can find food-inspired shoes that remind them of their favorite desserts, snacks and restaurants, or they can go whole-hog and actually wear their food on their feet.
