From Live-Rewinding Light Shows to Drinking Fireworks
Laura McQuarrie — July 5, 2014 — Unique
Firework displays are simple and straightforward—you start them up and then they light up the sky. But for some creatives, only being able to have fireworks at a celebration just doesn't cut it—what about when you want fireworks in the daytime, fireworks at your desk and fireworks that you can actually see, smell, hear and taste? These are all real things that are not as crazy as they sound.
Although a nicely coordinated fireworks show can be a real treat to watch, these kinds of experimental fireworks are in a realm of their own. The dazzling, dynamic nature of fireworks is difficult to capture in art, but artists like David Sena and Rosemarie Fiore have managed to capture the essence of firework displays in their pieces.
