From Wildlife Rescue Funds to Climate Change-Exposing Apparel
Katherine Pendrill — February 22, 2020 — Social Good
From apparel to soap, the February 2020 social good trends highlight the efforts that brands are making to draw attention to the issue of climate change and, in some cases, even reduce the consumer impact on the planet.
One of the most recent effects of climate change has been the massive fires spreading across Australia. To address this specific incident the beauty brand Lush Cosmetics created the Bush Animal Fund, which aims to provide first aid, rehabilitation, and habitat restoration. To collect funding, Lush is donating proceeds of the sales from its koala bear-shaped 'All The Wild THings' soap.
As the February 2020 social good trends reveal, another brand working on raising awareness of climate change is the Swedish circular marketplace Tradera. The brand recently launched the 'Face the Hidden Facts' campaign to highlight the devastating impact of the fashion industry on the planet and how it has exacerbated climate change.
