From Branded Climate Counseling to Candle Earth Day Donations
Grace Mahas — April 22, 2021 — Eco
In honor of Earth Day (April 22), many brands support the planet and take a stand against climate with sustainable earth day campaigns.
One notable example this year comes from Silk, the plant-based milk brand. The company is helping to tackle climate anxiety with free climate counseling with a certified expert to help transform "climate worriers into Climate Warriors." The event is hosted by Silk’s Climate Counselor, Dr. Debbie Sturm, a licensed professional counselor and climate anxiety researcher. The free 45-minute counseling sessions were designed to help viewers feel empowered about their future.
Another noteworthy example comes from Coors Seltzer. The brand is calling on Canadians to skip the shower on Earth Day in an effort to save water and help the planet. According to the brand, by skipping a five-minute shower, Canadians can save an average of 100 liters of water.
