Zalando has partnered with Danish designer Nikolaj Storm to offer a capsule collection of circular designs. Neon colors, techno, electro music, and nylon crackling sounds inspire the 13-piece, gender-neutral collection. It is made entirely of synthetic materials, including recycled polyester and the elasticized polyester fiber Lycra T400.
Other highlights of the collection include wider seams for alteration purposes, zippers for dynamic styling, and QR codes with sustainability information. The collection has been designed by Storm according to Circular.Fashion’s circular fashion criteria.
“The use of synthetics fibres enables durability in the garments made, allowing for repeated recycling without the product diminishing in quality. The fibres also allow for bolder colours and better retention, with clothing not losing its shape, a reason why it is used in sportswear,” said Storm in a statement.
