Wella Company has launched a redesigned and more sustainable version of its WELLOXON PERFECT salon color developer. This new product line is crafted with a strong focus on sustainability. The updated formula is now vegan and free from any animal-derived ingredients. It also eliminates using mineral oil, a non-renewable fossil fuel derivative.
Additionally, WELLOXON PERFECT is the first product in the beauty and cosmetics industry to incorporate carbon-reduced hydrogen peroxide. This innovative ingredient is certified to reduce carbon emissions compared to the hydrogen peroxide used previously.
The new bottle design utilizes an innovative multi-layer molding technology, allowing for the replacement of virgin plastic with up to 70% post-consumer recycled plastic. This change supports Wella Company’s material circularity initiatives and is projected to save approximately 90 metric tons of plastic annually compared to the previous packaging. Furthermore, the bottle is designed to be 100% recyclable and compact (excluding the safety seal) in countries with established recycling systems.
