IKEA's Concept Sells Previously Owned Furniture & Refurbished Goods
Laura McQuarrie — October 8, 2020References: fastcompany
This year, IKEA will be introducing its first-ever used furniture store to Sweden’s ReTuna mall, which puts the Swedish retailer on track to meet its goal of going totally circular by 2030. The new secondhand store will fit right in at the mall, as it is a retail complex made up of resale stores. At this new location, consumers will be able to find previously owned furniture pieces and refurbished home goods.
Already, many IKEA store have implemented bargain sections with refurbished returned items and since online marketplaces always have secondhand furniture and decor listings, this new concept store from IKEA will make it easier for consumers to get high-quality, trusted goods directly from the retailer.
