ONG&ONG designed the '66MRN-House,' a zen-inspired home located in Singapore.
The home is comprised of two volumes: the granite-clad front block, which contains the living and social areas, and the service block behind it, which is clad in fare-faced concrete. Between the main blocks, a reflective pool is nestled, acting as a divider between the spaces. The pool is located at the base of a roof-length void that becomes the home's main spatial and visual focus.
The individual spaces on the ground floor form a cohesive whole when all the doors are open. The architects scrupulously maintained the minimalist aesthetic throughout the home, adding greenery and plant life to complement the natural textures of the space. Ultimately, the 66MRN-House is a relaxing haven.
