Jungle Jam Train Terminals

The Tree-inspired Station by Yizhar Galmidi and Eliran Yaksein is Green

Designers Yizhar Galmidi and Eliran Yaksein have designed a train station where commuters can enjoy the outdoor green space inside.

This tree-inspired train terminal is inspired by the Ficus Microcarpa tree that originates from the Israeli landscape. The train station concept is literally transformed into a jungle where people will no longer have to travel with only the sight of somber and gloomy infrastructures. The underground train station is designed with seating areas that have pillars leading up to a large skylight. This concept offers the dark space ultimate natural lighting that will benefit both commuters and the trees planted underground.

Yizhar Galmidi and Eliran Yaksein have designed a sturdy steel piping in the station that takes form of a robust tree trunk. This is a station where no boundary lies between indoors and outdoors.
