Worldstock Sells Fair Trade Goods, Giving 60-70% of Profits to Artisans

Worldstock is an eco-conscious online marketplace and Overstock.com’s fair trade arm (they give 60-70% of profits back to their artisans).

The green and social business is targeting environmentally aware consumers looking for an affordable place to shop for things like organic clothing, handcrafted accessories and home decor while also supporting international fair trade artisans. As of this past November, Woodstock had been able to support their artisans with more than $73 million.

What's more, the social enterprise gives 100% of net profits to charity.

"In San Marcos Guatemala funds from Worldstock have helped in the construction of an earth bag house, rain water harvesting tanks (to provide clean water to the orphans), and a composting toilet and shower unit," the website explains. "In Kenya funds have built the Fanya Mambo School, which is designed to improve the future of Kenya by educating the children."
