Apple Offers a Health-Focused Employee Perk at its Cupertino HQ

In an effort to retain and attract employees, Apple announced extended benefits and employee perks, including a workplace wellness center at their Cupertino, California headquarters.

Described as a "medical one-stop-shop" by Fortune, the workplace wellness center has seven doctors on staff, plus additional chiropractors, physical therapists and dieticians. The team works out of a pod in the middle of the building, with examination rooms surrounding it in a circle. Doctors enter through a different door than patients. Inside the sleek, simple and minimalist rooms have a small table with an iPad and Mac. There is even a coat closet equipped with an iPhone charger for employee use. An added bonus is the average wait time is just five minutes.

Apple hopes to install similar centers in Sacramento and Shanghai.
