Buzzfeed’s Jarry Lee recently debuted a set of illustrations that depict the beloved Disney princesses without faces. While the iconic cartoon heroines are well known for their beautiful and striking features, this new series imagines what they might look like if their best qualities were erased.
Using screenshots from popular Disney films and a little bit of Photoshop, Lee shows us what each of the princesses would look like without faces. The cartoon heroines are stripped of all their features, including their eyes, nose and mouth. The series takes on each of the iconic princesses, including Ariel, Pocahontas and Mulan. The transformation strips each princess of her signature features, which takes away from the personality of each character.
The unusual series proves that illustrators such as Lee have yet to run out of ways to transform the iconic Disney princesses.
