Cooking with Kindness is set to host Toronto's Vegan Wine and Cheese Festival, showcasing a number of alternative food and beverage products from local artisans. While many consumers understand that animal-derived cheese cannot be considered vegan, some types of wine may also contain animal-derived fining agents such as milk protein and gelatin. At Vegan Wine and Cheese Fest, consumers will be able to indulge at a vegan food court and sample a variety of locally produced wines.
As well as being able to enjoy a variety of vegan-friendly food and drinks, alongside kitchen demonstrations and talks from vegan entrepreneurs, ticketholders will also feel at ease knowing that a portion of the funds from every ticket sold will go towards supporting the local nonprofit Wishing Well Sanctuary.
