William Morris Gallery Joins Walthamstow FC on a Capsule

East London football club Walthamstow FC works in collaboration with William Morris Gallery on a new kit. The home and away kits are joined by a jacket -- all of these are detailed with a botanical pattern dubbed 'Yare.' It was first created in 1892 by John John Henry Dearle, who was a textile designer for the brand.

It features green and turquoise tonal leaves with small blue, yellow, and red flowers. Walthamstow FC explains that "Full access to the gallery's archive was given, allowing the design team to explore the full collection of textiles and wallpaper to choose the pattern which was digitally re-drawn and colour matched to be sublimated onto the clothing, taking over a hundred hours of research and design."
