This backyard DIY project was put together by father Will Pemble. Pemble assembled a fully functional roller coaster for his two children after a visit to New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure. As his kids wanted a piece of the amusement park at home, he went about assembling the 10-foot ride.
In addition to setting up this roller coaster, Pemble has also documented the process via his blog The CoasterDad Project. Posts showcase all of the steps required, enabling readers to replicate his design on their own lawns.
After approximately 300 hours of work, the roller coaster was completed. Although it is a fun source of entertainment for the family, it is also an educational tool as it provides lessons on physics and construction.
