Luxury fashion house Hermès is working alongside Panthera in support of the global wild cat conservation organization. With this partnership, the two brands are raising awareness about eight species of big cats.
Doing what Hermès does best, the brand designed a luxe scarf which features the work of wildlife artist Robert Dallet. For this philanthropic accessory, the Hermès Exceptional Silk Scarf: Carré Couture was decorated with 24 individual printing frames that were transferred onto the silk twill at the Hermès atelier in Lyon, France. Engraving this design required 1,400 hours of handwork which was followed by hand-embroidered crystals, emeralds and glasswork pearls.
The scarf will be auctioned for $48,000 as the starting price with all proceeds going to the global wild cat conservation organization.
