Château d’Esclans has just released the new 2022 vintage of its flagship wine, Whispering Angel, making it the first 2022 Provence Rosé to reach the global market.
The new wine is made from Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle grapes, and features fresh citrus, rose petal and red fruits on the nose and a well-balanced, round palate with great acidity and structure. The 2022 growing season featured a hot summer and yielded smaller berries than previous years, but the vast majority of Château d'Esclans’ plots withstood the heat well and resulted in a beautiful, untroubled vintage.
Whispering Angel has become the worldwide reference for Provence Rosé and is known for its premium, versatile, and dry characteristics. Its smooth and round finish and lack of astringent aftertaste have helped it maintain its popularity.
