This $9,000 Whiskey Tasting Event Supports Earthquake Redevelopment

This year's Whiskey Show taking place at Old Billingsgate Market in London will offer a limited ticket-holder whiskey tasting event, which all the proceeds from will go directly to charity.

The extravagant whiskey tasting event will cost guests about $9,000 per ticket. While this seems like a steep price, all of the money raised will be donated to assisting the redevelopment of Nepal of the earthquake that took place this year.

The event will sell only 45 tickets and take place on October 3, 2015. Guests who attend the event will be treated to samples of fine whiskey from the Japanese Karuizawa distillery. This luxurious whiskey traditionally costs about $15,700 a bottle. In honor of the monetary donation each gusts will receive a limitededition bottle of Karuizawa from the year of 1983.
