GAN presents a look at the new Weave collection which brings attention back to the work of ancient weaving techniques altered from a modern angle. It is designed by Helena Rohner for the brand and she brings focus to the way that light interacts differently with various textures. These are inspired by fabrics that are traditional but blow up to a scale that can be appreciated.
There are aspects of satin, jacquard knitting, and twill, which are identified throughout the stitching details of the Weave collection. All of the wools are made from 100% wool that honors the intricate weaving methods with highlights on two different styles: Meeting Point and Space Hopper. There are diamond patterns found in certain areas throughout the designs to showcase the twill weaving pattern.
