Faye Toogood Designs the Squash Chair for Poltrona Frau

British artist and designer Faye Toogood is tapped by premium Italian furniture brand Poltrona Frau on the special design of the Squash chair. The brand is known for its leather constructions and the Squash chair lives up to the high standard. It joins the recently launched Imagine collection which is comprised of an armchair, a side table, mirrors, an ottoman, and a rug.
The Squash fits in perfectly with a plush look and feels defined by its subtle textures and bright tones. Toogood explains the design approach and the beauty of the wrinkled texture. She notes, “Wrinkles are beautiful, especially in leather. It’s just like bag. The way you use them, they get better with age. I personally think the chairs, in theory, should look their best in 20 year’s time.”
