Water Drop Lighting

The ‘Melting Light' by Daniel Becker

The ‘Melting Light’ by Daniel Becker may make it look like you have a giant leak in your roof, but thankfully no water is involved and no buckets are required. The light consists of two main components: a rippled white disc which acts as a reflector and a water drop shaped lamp filled with LEDs and silvered on the bottom to reduce glare.

Becker’s design is modern and clever, and those of us who are in fact experiencing water dripping from their ceiling will appreciate a real sense of irony in the timing of its appearance on Yanko Design.

Team it up with the ‘Ripple’ table below and you’ve got the beginnings of a fabulous raindrop theme room.
