KFC Australia is serving up sweet and savory this summer with the debut of its creative new Waffle Double sandwich.
Many will be familiar with KFC's infamous Double Down, which is a sandwich that swaps the buns for two pieces of fried chicken. The new Waffle Double puts an even more creative twist on the Double Down by adding a fluffy Belgian waffle into the mix. This means that the new sandwich consists of a soft Belgian waffle, crispy bacon, and smoky maple mayo sandwiched between two Original Crispy double-breaded chicken filets.
While the Waffle Double is a new innovation in Australia, KFC has introduced a similar sandwich in Canada back in 2018, and in both Singapore and New Zealand in 2020.
