Popular Utah-based VR theme park 'The Void' is now set to open in New York's Times Square. Although many amusement parks have introduced VR roller coasters and rides, The Void gives users the unique opportunity to test out the technology throughout the entire park.
The Utah location of The Void is an immersive VR theme park that is designed to transport users to a whole new world. Guests are equipped with VR headsets powered by supercomputers carried on their backs, as well as haptic suits that track their movements. Together, this technology allows guests to see, feel and interact with the virtual world they are immersed in. The idea is to recreate this same experience at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Times Square. At this new location guests will be treated to Ghostbusters-themed experience that allows them to explore locations, props and costumers from the film and even embark on their own VR ghost hunt.
The new theme park location demonstrates how VR technology is being used to provide consumers will a more immersive entertainment experience.
