3D-Printed Volleyball Shoes

Peak Sport Created Shoes for the China Volleyball League All-Star Game

Sports brand Peak created the world's first 3D-printed volleyball shoes and put them to the test at the China Volleyball League all-star game with Olympic volleyball team member Ding Xia.

While there have been plenty of fashionable 3D-printed shoes created, a few sportswear brands are also experimenting with the making of shoes for baseball, basketball, running and for other specialized activities.

The printed volleyball shoes take into account that the sport requires a great deal of upward momentum, so the sneakers boast plenty of cushioned support. The innovative shoe was developed based on data, as well as the use of 3D technology and an SLS laser, resulting in a design that includes a flexible TPU powder printed on the bottom of the shoe.
