People everywhere are getting bitten by the typography bug, and Vladislav Poliakov is trying his hand at making artwork using text in this collection of Star Wars pictures. Seen here are his renderings of Yoda, Darth Maul and Darth Vader made up entirely of words that describe the characters, Star Wars terms and dialogue from the films.
Even though Vladislav Poliakov was limited by having to use text to depict each character, he didn’t skimp on the detail. He effective used negative space to represent the dark skin of Darth Maul and the ebony helmet of Darth Vader, but Poliakov truly impresses with his Yoda piece. He had to use a high concentration of text in order to fully convey the Jedi master’s green skin and wrinkles, and if you squint your eyes, it almost looks like a photoreal portrait.
