Immersive Sci-Fi-Inspired Bathrooms

This strikingly interesting Blade Runner bathroom design by architect Tristan Auer is exactly what fans of sci-fi would expect—an elegant, slightly ominous, and highly futuristic ambiance that is accented by the subtle glow of neon lights. This space was designed as a concept for Axor as part of the brand's 'Distinctive Project "which tasks some of the world's leading architects with creating highly individual bathrooms." The Blade Runner bathroom, for one, is envisioned "to suit [the needs and tastes of an] imagined male client." The resulting space features 80s-inspired elements that are combined with materials and forms to evoke "a masculine feel." Creative initiatives like the Distinctive Project definitely create a challenge for the designers embarking on them but they also testify to how highly specific certain markets have gotten.
