Dedicated VR Browsers

HTC Vive, Mozilla and AWS Created a Dedicated Virtual Reality Browser

HTC Vive collaborated with Mozilla's Firefox, AWS's Amazon Sumerian and Fidelity Investments to develop a dedicated new virtual reality browser that will make VR experiences easily accessible to consumers.

Firefox Reality is set to become Vive's native VR browser, and thanks to its work with Amazon Web Services (AWS), HTC Vive is making it possible for developers to create VR experiences. At CES 2019, HTC Vive debuted the capabilities of its new VR web browser by showcasing the first company on the platform, Fidelity Investments, which now gives customers the chance to see their portfolio in an immersive virtual reality setting.

With this new project, HTC Vive Vice President of Partnerships and Content Michael Almeraris has expressed that "We've set out this year to bring everyday computing tasks into VR for the first time."
