Vinge Train Station is a planned train station, located in the new city of Vinge in Denmark, that will use a unique undulating concourse to allow it to seamlessly mesh in with the surrounding city rather than splitting the city into two, as railway infrastructure often does.
The station has been designed by Henning Larsen Architects, and is part of a broader plan to connect Vinge -- a new city that will be built to the north of Copenhagen -- to surrounding areas.
The station will have a circular design which will undulate to create thoroughfares. It will look almost as if there's a ring on top of the station that touches down on either side of the tracks, creating open spaces for movement between the platforms and the rest of the city. The ring is designed to allow plenty of clearance for trains and allow people to move across the tracks.
